The problem

Not an ISO: a custom, versioned and reversible desktop layer on top of Archcraft/Arch that turns an install into rOS — with its own identity, boot, desktop and tools. The goal: a real, installable distro.

Highlights

  1. 01Wayland desktop with niri and DankMaterialShell (Quickshell/QML); greetd greeter; Limine boot with custom branding.
  2. 02ros-update: Timeshift snapshot before updating pacman, AUR and flatpak; GPU mode switching (PRIME) and automatic power profiles.
  3. 03Hardening: key-only SSH, ufw, zram + systemd-oomd; idempotent install and rollback scripts.
  4. 04GPU utilities: image upscaling (waifu2x) and automatic subtitles (faster-whisper).
